10:00 AM  –  11:30 AM

An exclusive look at Turkel House, now a private residence not open to the public!

Join us as we go Behind the Scenes of the Dorothy G. Turkel House, built by architect Frank Lloyd Wright in the Palmer Woods Historic District of Detroit and opened in 1957.

"Wright introduced the term "Usonian" to describe this style of home, characterized by their modest size, L-shape, use of native materials, and cantilevered overhangs."

The structure was in considerable disrepair when it was purchased by current owners Norman Silk and Dale Morgan, who thoughtfully and carefully restored it to its original condition in the early 2000s.

Be sure to take some time to browse the lovely and well-maintained gardens surrounding the home.

$25 members, $35 general public. Members, please log in; discount will be reflected at checkout.
