BTS - Pewabic Pottery Walking Tour

Since 1903, Detroit's Pewabic Pottery has been a staple in decorating buildings in Detroit and across the country. Founded by Mary Chase Stratton and Horace Caulkins, beautifully decorated tiles can be found in buildings around the city and in private residences. Today, as the second oldest pottery in the country, they continue to embellish buildings in the metro Detroit area. This walking tour will utilize travel on the Q-Line, which has Pewabic tile, and visit locations such as the People Mover, Comerica Park, Little Caesars Arena and the Guardian Building.
