Join author, photographer, and architectural historian Dale A. Carlson for a look at the life and work of Detroit architect William E. Kapp (1891–1969), designer of the Detroit Historical Museum and many other landmark structures.

Learn about Kapp’s Toledo roots, his career at Smith, Hinchman & Grylls, and his later library work in Detroit. Highlights include Music Hall, U-M’s Rackham building, and the Downtown Detroit Public Library.

Lecture is included with Museum Admission. Registration is encouraged prior to the event, as spots are limited.
