Charles Avison, author of the Detroit City of Champions trilogy and podcast host, joins Jamie Flanagan, podcast host, to discuss the remarkable story of Detroit as the City of Champions and their shared podcast of the same name.

The book Detroit City of Champions explores the remarkable series of events which took place in 1935-36, chronicling the rise of Joe Louis and three major sports championships as well as 30 minor sports championships during the same season!
