Gather for a morning of Great Lakes history, music and remembrance, featuring a Great Lakes–related presentation, a short performance by celebrated Great Lakes balladeer Lee Murdock, and lunch prepared by Detroit’s Common Pub.

The menu, drawn from George Yaworski’s Ships of the Great Lakes Cookbook, includes:

Soups: Knickerbocker bean soup and corn chowder
Salads: Macaroni salad and Greek salad with pickled beets
Entrées: Chicken paprikash and beef stew with mashed potatoes
Dessert: Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting

Coffee, iced tea and lemonade will be served.
