Thursday July 15

6:30 PM  –  7:30 PM

This year in honor of Detroit Historical Society’s Centennial, Third Thursday is bringing a slate of programs focusing on Detroit stories that still impact us today. Each month will be bringing a contemporary perspective to a different decade of the last hundred years. You won’t want to miss this year’s amazing conversations!

This month, we will be talking to the curators of the brand new Exiled to Motown exhibit, examining the lives of Japanese Americans in Detroit leading up to and following the internment of the American Japanese community during WWII and how dispossession and resilience remain contemporary themes for AAPI Americans.
