Treats in the Streets

This event is no longer on sale.

Sunday October 22

1:00 PM  –  2:00 PM

Join us for a sensory-friendly indoor Halloween experience. Trick or treat in two of our family favorite exhibits, The Streets of Old Detroit and Origins: Life Where the River Bends, take a break with cider and donuts, win prizes with our bewitching games, and marvel at our live performers. We will also feature a craft area with several fun activities to make and take! Costumes are encouraged but not required.

The Detroit Historical Museum will create a welcoming and inclusive environment for those with sensory processing differences including dimmer lights and limited amplified sounds.

Admission is free with registration. Please note that the museum will be closed to the public on Sunday, October 22 except for this event.

As part of our community Halloween celebration for families, we ask that no costumes be worn that promote the use of illegal substances or activities or are derogatory, disrespectful or depict violence.  Additionally, no weapons or depictions of weapons  (nun-chucks/sickles/swords/knives/guns, etc.) will be allowed in the museum.  Thank you for helping us keep this a family friendly event!

We will not admit anyone wearing a costume that includes any of the above.

SOLD OUT! Thank you for your support!
